DOT Hydraulic WindTurbine and Collective Power Generation
A set of wind turbines collectively extracts and pressurizes seawater to feed this to a central power generation unit, where the hydraulic energy is converted into electrical energy for an off-grid power supply to the facility and surrounding areas.
The concept is developed by DOT B.V. in Delft, The Netherlands. DOT stands for Delft Offshore Turbine.
Desalination Unit
The Desalination Unit is equipped with the current technology of water desalination and water treatment using Reverse Osmosis. The output are Fresh Water, and Brine. The fresh water will be stored and distributed.
Salt Extracting Unit
The Salt Extracting Unit, equipped with current machinery, is to further process the brine into high saline water. The output from this unit is Industrial Standard Salt with 99% Salinity. The Salt-Battery unit would be assembled in this unit.
Solar Power Unit
The Solar Power Unit is using the recent development of PV Unit. The facility is using the energy recovery device in order to reduce energy usage by up to 60%, thus ensures low carbon footprint and low energy consumption.
Vermiculture Hydroponics
Vermiculture Hydroponics maximizes the use of the idle space by elevating the plantation. The water, electricity, and the minerals come from the desalination plant.
Floating Net Cages
The Floating Net Cages will focus on maritime export commodities such as lobster, prawn, shrimp, or squid. This unit aims to utilize the idle space in the facility compound thus improving economic activity of nearby communities.
Solar Boat
Solar Boat aims to support the operational of the facility and the surrounding fishery communities by using non polluting means of transportation. This will help reduce the carbon footprint on marine activities.
Maritime Research Center
The Research Center has the aim to help researchers in developing products or solutions to problems related to food, energy in the context of a maritime nation. The Center will also educate a new maritime mindset for the next Indonesian generation to come.
